Log business drives with their stops and km from Google Maps, see what they cost per month, year or any period, export to CSV, and get an evening reminder.
Drives → Places keeps the places you drive to: home, the post office, your thrift stores, supply shops. Each has a name you choose, such as ThriftStore PoCo, and an address. Start typing the address and Google suggests it; pick one and its location is saved with the place. An address Maps can't find can still be saved with Save anyway: its legs are then typed by hand.
Names are unique among your places, whatever the case. Places are listed most used first, and you can rename a place, change its address or delete it. Past drives keep the name and address they were logged with.
Drives → Cars keeps your cars, each with its fuel type and consumption: L/100 km for a gas, diesel or hybrid car, and kWh/km or kWh/100 km for an electric one. Add a price per litre or kWh, in your default currency, to see what each drive cost. The default car is picked for each new drive; the first car you add is the default.
An address searched for in a drive has a Save as place button: give it a name and it's a place you tap next time.
Each leg's km is the Google Maps driving distance, not a straight line. A pair of places is looked up once and saved, and the saved distance is used both ways, so A to B and B to A share one lookup and regular trips need none. A km you type stays on that drive only. If Maps can't give a distance, or the day's lookups are used up, type the km.
Drives shows one month at a time, with ‹ and › to move between months: each drive's day, car, stops, km and what for, the month's total km, and the energy (kWh or litres) and cost for each car. Edit or delete any drive. Each drive keeps the energy and cost worked out when you saved it: changing a car's price later leaves past drives as they were. Editing a drive works its cost out again at the price it was logged with, unless you pick another car.
Export CSV saves the month for your bookkeeping: date, stops and their addresses, what for, car, fuel type, distance, each leg's km, energy and estimated cost, and the month's total.
Drives → Report adds up a month, a year or any period you choose (Custom: from and to, up to 5 years): the total cost in dollars, the km and the number of drives, then each car's km, energy and cost, and each month's cost and km (each day's, for a period of a month or less). It opens on this year.
The cost is the sum of what each drive kept when it was saved. A drive with no car, or with a car that has no price, counts in the km but not the cost, and the report says how many there are. Export CSV saves the period's drives with the totals per car and per month at the end.
Drives → Reminder sends you an email every evening at the time you choose, in your time zone: “Did you drive today? Add your drives.” It isn't sent on days you've already logged a drive. It's off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off there, in Settings → Email notifications, or with the email's Unsubscribe link.
