Importing inventory from a CSV spreadsheetMove your reselling spreadsheet into Reseller's Vault: export it as CSV, map the columns, preview and import. Formats for dates, prices and tax explained.Import step by step

Export your spreadsheet as a CSV file (in Google Sheets: File → Download → Comma-separated values; in Excel: Save As → CSV).

Open Add Items → CSV Import and choose the file, or drag and drop it. Files can be up to 10 MB. The first row must contain the column headers.

Check the column mapping. Reseller's Vault guesses which column is which; change any that are wrong, or choose Ignore for columns you don't want. A Name column is required.

Look over the preview of the first five rows and any errors found in the file.

Import. You'll see how many items were imported, and the rows that could not be imported with the reason for each.

Formats

Dates as YYYY-MM-DD, for example 2024-01-15.

Prices as decimal numbers, for example 29.99.

Tax as a percentage number, for example 7 for 7%.

Status, if you include it, must be one of the app's statuses (such as For Sale, Sold or Pending).
